Overview of the C.I.T.P Designation
The Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) offers the only national professional designation that recognizes an individuals' experience in international trade. The Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation is the highest level of professional accreditation for international business and trade professionals in Canada.

A CITP must meet rigorous education, training and experience requirements and make a commitment to adhere to the Standards of Ethical Conduct established by FITT. Today, CITPs across Canada bring increased accountability and recognition to the international business and trade profession.

Requirements for the CITP Designation


The need for CITPs has never been greater as Canadian trade grows and business continues to expand internationally. The CITP designation identifies the holderas a highly qualified international trade professional in tune with today's global environment and possessing the clearly defined and well developed competencies that today's employer wants and needs to gain an advantage in the international marketplace.
