Purpose To serve as the government’s focal point in the development of the province’s energy resources, as outlined in the Energy Strategy. Building our energy industry and making the most of the opportunities in our offshore continue to be priorities for the Department of Energy. Balanced with our commitment to improving our environment and informing Nova Scotians, the department of Energy continues to play a key role in developing a vibrant and prosperous Nova Scotia.
