Master Merchant Systems (MMS), is a software development company which provides Point of Sale (POS) software solutions targeted at the North American wireless reseller (Cellular & Satellite), retail pharmacy, big-ticket retailer (Furniture, Appliances & Electronic) & Music retailer. Launched in 1988, the company has focused exclusively on developing world class interactive POS software that seamlessly handles all aspects of the retailers business. MMS has over 2500 licensed users in some 500 store front locations through-out North America. Master Merchant Systems main products are POS, Inventory Control, Accounts Receivables, Integrated Accounting, Rental, Service Department and Contact Management tools, among others, that are full-featured and fully-integrated. Our genesis was POS for full line Music retail stores, followed by POS for other big-ticket retail segments and most recently POS for the Wireless reseller. We are differentiated from our competition by our ability to seamlessly handle all transactions for the retailer. For example, our Wireless POS products handle all the complex issues associated with carrier commissions, bonuses, charge backs and rebates effortlessly. Our thin-client software is Network and Web compliant, running on Windows based clients with a Unix/Linux server as the backend. These open-standards platforms ensure robustness, affordability, flexibility and scalability for our clients. Using our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia based sales force, our installed products have traditionally been distributed through licensing agreements. However, more and more of our users are opting to "rent" our applications from us on a per-user basis. This reduces the up-front investment and relieves retailers of the responsibilities associated with maintenance of the server.
